Microtonal and granular spaces emit beams of playful tranquilizations, exploring a/tonal drony minimalism. This is a
contemplative, deep, and resonant work by the founder of the Slapart net.label, Nicolas Krapels (aka n.kra),
formally of Brooklyn, NY, but currently based out of a small village in South Carolina. A lost collection of emotional
and honest works.

Having sent a CD to Jon (Vaughn) for him to listen to my current work, I must have soon thereafter forgotten that I was
a musician for no time since have I been as productive as the time spent realizing these tracks presented here. these
are mostly a lot of pro tools mixes of max/MSP improvisations I did on various patches I was making at the time. These
pieces are not necessarily "live" and make liberal use of field recordings (processed or unprocessed) to frame the
melodies and noises created within MSP. I thought I had lost them completely due to the fact that I considered the
mixes "undone" (When are they not?). Having not done anything to back up the mix files or archived any of my mixes,
the old laptop got zapped by an electrostatic cloud somewhere in Virginia. Oh lord, how do we exist in this digital
age? --- the framework that constitutes our bits is forever fragile.

n.kra is a pseudonym of one Nicholas K., who has suffered from tinnitis ever since a childhood encounter with a
dysfunctional lawnmower. He has lived and performed in Chicago, Brooklyn, and upstate New York. He now lives in a tiny
mill village in South Carolina where the birds never stop singing.
